Expert Role
The Expert is the highest academic authority within their thematic area and is responsible for ensuring the scientific quality of submitted works, as well as identifying contributions with potential for post-event impact.
Experts review assigned submissions, participate in academic exchange during the event, and prepare the final evaluation report and publication endorsements for their topic.
Specific functions
- Review and approve assigned scientific works according to criteria established by the Scientific Committee.
- Participate in evaluating questions, comments, and academic exchanges generated during the event.
- Identify works with potential for:
- Propose works for submission to institutions, programs, or entities interested in further application or development.
- Prepare the final evaluation report for their thematic area.
- Issue publication endorsements (avals) for awarded or selected works.
- Choose the best presentation per topic when applicable.
Impact potential to identify
Experts should flag works suitable for:
- Scientific publication.
- Prizes and academic recognition.
- Grey literature repositories.
- Technology transfer.
- Research, innovation, or entrepreneurship projects.
Final evaluation report
At the end of the event, the Expert prepares the final report for their topic. It must include:
1. Statistical summary
- Total works reviewed.
- Total works approved.

3. Post-event projection proposals
- Scientific publication.
- Directorate of Science, Technology and Innovation.
- Information Center and Grey Literature Repository.
- Health programs.
- Health executives and interested institutions.

- Academy of Sciences prizes.
- Health prizes.
- Other relevant national or international entities.
4. Endorsement issuance
- Publication endorsement (aval).

For awarded or selected works, the Expert completes the 19-criterion peer-review rubric covering title, abstract, methods, results, discussion, references, and more.
